Removal of any and all manufacturer-supplied drivers and software is recommended. To install the kX Driver, run the installation executable. It will extract all the driver files into your Program Files folder and will launch the kxsetup.exe program to continue the installation; the driver files will be installed into the Windows System directory (WinntSystem32 or WindowsSystem). Follow the directions on-screen and re-boot once all drivers have been installed. Should setup fail, the kX Driver can be installed manually via the Windows Device Manager (Update Driver function). When asked to Specify Location, browse to the kx.inf file in the directory on your harddrive where the driver package has been uncompressed (e.g. C:Program FileskX Project35xx).
To launch the kX Mixer, double-click the kX icon in the windows tray. Right-click the icon for access to additional functions. The kX Mixer is loaded automatically on start-up. If you don't see kX Mixer icon in your system tray, the driver might have installed incorrectly.

To install the beta software, make sure you have an ethernet connection, then:1. Tap Fn, then hold UPDATE2. Use the pulldown menu at the top of the screen to select Beta Release (if you didn't have this selected already).3. Tap Check for Updates. This downloads the new code but does not do the installation. This gives you an opportunity to optionally tap "Release Notes" and read the notes first.4. When you're ready to do the installation, tap "Install".NOTE: If the status area shows error messages of any kind, try doing the install a second time. You may have had an older version of the update app itself, in which case a second install should complete the process.
